Seekers EcoLearning Kids Center
Based in Marsa Alam along the south Red Sea coast in Egypt, Seekers EcoSchool is a local community initiative powered by
CIPPO , Egypt’s leading company in child development and educational solutions.
Our school combines social and emotional learning along with green education all while prioritizing child-led participation. Supported by the American Curriculum and the EcoSchools Program, we aim to help our little ones understand the value of what they are learning as well as where they are learning it.
Whether you want to enrol your child in a full academic year, or just for a few days during your vacation, they are very welcome.
Bird Watching
Wadi Lahami Village is situated next to a protected mangrove area which boasts one of the best areas for birding ("bird watching") along the Red Sea coast. Many waders and shore birds roost and nest close by the mangrove swamps. These include the white heron, night heron, striated heron an sometimes the spoonbill. The sooty falcon is a possible visitor in the summer, and of course not to forget the magnificent ospreys which are nesting here. In summer, the white-eyed gull can easily be seen, as well as the white-cheeked and the Caspian tern. The gull is special as its breeding range is restricted to the Red Sea. In fall and spring thousands of small birds like swallows, stone chats, pipits, wagtails and kingfisher can be seen.

Wadi El Gemal National Park
This tour combines some of the best sights of the Eastern Desert: its fantastic landscapes and its most spectacular archaeological sites. We leave after an early breakfast. Following the Red Sea coastal road we reach the National Park “Wadi el Gemal”. The park is named after the valley “Wadi el Gemal” (valley of the Camels) which cuts from West to East through the mountain range. This Wadi was well known throughout history as an important trading route. Along this route we find many traces of this desert’ s history. You visit the National Park’s most known ancient settlement Sakit and its emerald mines. Sakit is famous for its well-preserved Roman houses and its small temple, dedicated to Isis, cut out in living rock. During our off road drive through Wadi el Gemal we will also look in detail at its unique vegetation.

Astro Tour
Stargazing in the Eastern Desert is something you should not miss during your stay in Marsa Alam. Under the crystal clear night sky you really experience space. Out in the desert you are undisturbed by noise or light. We will help you to find your way in the night sky, allowing you to understand some of the mysteries of the universe. The sky will be explained by using a special astro laser; additionally, you will get a good look at individual stars and nebula’s by means of a telescope and binoculars. For about seven days each month, when the moon is too bright to see many stars, we will have a closer look at our moon itself. Being in the moon-illuminated desert is an exquisite experience, not to be missed. During the tour the Ababda Bedouin provide tea and shisha (Egyptian water pipe). The excursion starts early evening after dinner and takes about 2,5 hours.
