Last week, we had the pleasure to host an Italian group from Instituto per gli Studi sul Mare for a WWF Travel workshop in Wadi Lahami village organised by Compagnia Del Mar Rosso. The group led by Emilio Mancuso and helped by Micol Montagna, the Turtle Watch coordinator from HEPCA, had several snorkeling sessions to study the marine life, especially the turtles, as well as the mangrove area. They organised classroom sessions to review and discuss about their discoveries and learnt a lot during this week. Also, they showed a very positive attitude by offering to organise a clean-up in Wadi Lahami mangrove area on their last day. We spent a nice moment cleaning while watching at a stunning sunset.
We are always happy to host such enthusiastic groups in any of our three villages, especially when it's about studying environmental topics and discovering more about the Red Sea's marine life. Indeed, WWF Travel was created to offer travel programs, itineraries and stays that combine the pleasure of a holiday and discovery with experiences that develop an environmental awareness.
Thanks again to this group who put a very nice atmosphere to Wadi Lahami village and we hope to see you again soon!
