Reef Check 2016 Surveys: 21-27 June 2016
This June we will be carrying out our annual Reef Check Activities. This is a great opportunity for you to use your diving skills towards a great cause! Reef Check is a global organisation that monitors the health of coral reefs worldwide. The Reef Check surveying concept is to use qualified volunteers with a simple survey method, using indicator species to gauge the health of coral reefs worldwide.
If you are already a certified Eco Diver you can
join our surveys from 21st - 28th June. We will survey 5 local reefs that we have been surveying since 2009.
If you are interested in becoming a certified Eco Diver you
can join the course from 17th-20th June.
The course costs €250 and includes:
• 8 dives
• 4 lectures
• 1 Survey
• Practise of Buoyancy, methodology and species identification skills
• Reef Check Certificate
• Course materials
€15 certification fee due on site after completion.
Once certified you will be able to undertake Reef Check surveys anywhere in the world.
Special Offer:- All dives which are undertaken are already included in the price of the Eco Diver course, and are offered complimentary for the surveys, as a thank you from us for helping towards the conservation of our local reefs.
