This year, in conjunction with photo pros Paul Duxfield (our photo competition judge) and Phil and Anne Medcalf from Alphamarine Photography, RSDS ran its first Red Sea Photo Camp.
This new format of 'workshop' was designed to suit any guests with an interest in underwater photography. With four presentations repeated three times each over a two week period, the workshop was designed to suit all schedules and abilities with the ultimate flexibility.
The three photo pros were on hand for advice, feedback, and to share their knowledge and expertise on a variety of subjects, throughout the two weeks.
The fixed presentations covered: Lighting, Composition, Understanding Marine Life for Photographers and Editing.
The workshop brought together guests from Germany, UK and Switzerland. Among them was this year's Rolex Our World Underwater Scholar, Kim Hildebrandt with her equipment supplied by Reef Photo and Video. Guests were able to support and help each other at their different levels, share experience, and of course dive together with the same goal - to improve their underwater photography skills. The participants had a range of different cameras, from compacts through to DSLRs and the pros helped them get the most from their equipment.
Red Sea Diving Safari would like to thank all the participants and our photo pros for a great workshop and we look forward to the same again in 2020 from 7th - 19th June. Click here for more information and book early to reserve your space!
